29.01.10 Sir Andrew Martin Trust

The LRCB today received financial support from the Sir Martin Trust for Young People. The trust was created in 1995 in memory of Sir Andrew Martin KCVO Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire and Rutland, to provide young people and voluntary youth organisations with a brighter future.

The funding received will be used to help towards the costs of running a Young Leader Award that has been organised for young volunteers throughout the City and County. This support enables the young volunteers to get involved in cricket volunteering at their school and in clubs.

We would therefore like to thank the Trust for their support and hope that these young volunteers will be able to support the grassroots game going forwards.
