13.03.08 Player Nominations for 2008-09 Winter Trials

The Leicestershire & Rutland Cricket Board is committed to continue its policy of developing home grown talent. To assist in achieving this we are again operating an extensive coaching programme this winter, aimed specifically at those boys and girls aged between 11-15, with the ability to play at District Level, and 16 and 17 at County Level.

We therefore invite you to nominate any individuals in these age groups who you consider possess the talents to play at these levels. The individuals preferably should be playing for a club as well as for school.

Outstanding players younger than Under 11 age group should also be nominated as they will be invited for trials leading to a foundation course in preparation for Under 11 District or County Cricket.

On receipt of the completed forms all of the players (under 11-15) will be invited by letter to attend an initial selection trial outdoors during August/September. Successful nominations will then be invited to attend District Coaching Centres in the autumn.
Players nominated in the age group 16 and 17 will be invited to attend trials for the Leicestershire Young Cricketers Squad at Grace Road. They will receive separate information.

A nomination form is printed overleaf for you to complete. Please ensure that the date of birth and Post Code are entered for each nomination (this information is essential). PLEASE DO NOT NOMINATE INDIVIDUALS WHO REPRESENT DISTRICT OR LEICESTERSHIRE YOUNG CRICKETERS DURRING THE 2007 SEASON, AS THEY WILL ALREADY BE ON OUR DATABASE.
In order that we may issue invitations, PLEASE RETURN ALL COMPLETED FORMS TO GRACE ROAD, NO LATTER THAN FRIDAY 18th JULY. FORMS RECIVED AFTER THIS DATE WILL NOT BE PROCESSED UNLESS THERE ARE SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES APPLICABLE.

Please note all Players need to be nominated by a current ECB Level 2 Coach or above, you will be required to state your Membership Number and Expiry Date on the Application Form.
