2008 County Facility Strategy Consultation DocumentLeicestershire and Rutland County Facility Strategy 2008-2013A document titled ‘Building Partnerships – Cricket’s Strategic Plan for 2005 to 2009 – from Playground to Test Arena’ was issued by the England and Wales Cricket Board in 2005. The document highlighted the need for cricketing bodies throughout England and Wales to work together to build more effective partnerships, with the overall aim of increasing participation in the sport and improving the development opportunities for talented players. In 2007 the Leicestershire and Rutland Cricket Board (LRCB) designed and proposed a County ‘Long Term Strategic Development Plan for Leicestershire and Rutland 2007-2010’, to deliver the ‘Improvement Planning Process’. As part of the Improvement Planning Process (2007-08) the LRCB is required to produce a County Facilities Strategy. This County Facility Strategy outlines the Minimum Facility Assessment Standards and highlights potential projects within the County and align funding streams to the projects.
The attached document is ‘Working In Progress Document’. Please note that this is a Consultation Document and is aimed to create discussion between partners (internal and external).
