Forum Objectives:
In order to successfully achieve a Mission Statement it is vital that objectives are set. Objectives are the ‘stepping stones' that contribute to successfully achieving the aims and mission statement of the Cricket Development Forum.
• help and establish school/club links for all Clubs
• assist senior clubs set up junior sections
• promote cricket through organised and structured programmes
• increase the number of officials and coaches
• offer support where needed to existing and future provision
• work closely with Leicestershire and Rutland Cricket Board on it's development structure and initiatives.
The main reason for having the Cricket Development Forums is as follows:
- A coordinated/ and collective approach to develop specific areas of Cricket such as Women and Girls and Disabilities.
- Share best practice and also communicate effectively with other Clubs about forthcoming events such as Cricket Force or Kwik Cricket Tournaments.
- Also as away to feedback to the LRCB relating to key issues such as Coach Education, Funding and Grants
Overall it's a good opportunity to collectively work together to achieve key objectives. This approach empowers the ‘Forum' to develop cricket in the area. This approach will have for full support from the LRCB and a contribution of Funding will be given to the Forum pending on their Improvement Planning Review.
Cricket Development Forum (Improvement Planning Process)
The main reason behind this approach is to create a Bench Mark so that all 4 Groups are working towards the same objectives. The LRCB understands that the Groups needs will be different, however its important that we are working towards the same core objectives.
The IPP is divided between three core areas:
- Strategic Planning
- Programme Development
- Effective and Transparent Leadership
The LRCB will play a supportive role for the Cricket Development Forums and offer advice and guidance.
