'Go Green' Club Fund
The 'Go Green' Club Fund is designed to promote the concept of cricket clubs ‘going green’ and to support the UK’s short target to reduce CO2 omissions by 20 per cent by 2010. Applications for this funding needed to evidence an environmental theme and/or improve energy efficiency.
All available funds for the pilot England & Wales Cricket Trust Limited ‘Go Green’ Club Fund 2008, have now been allocated. The scheme has therefore closed with immediate effect and no further applications will be accepted.
The £200,000 fund has supported 29 applications with a combined project cost of approx £694,000 and included the Installation of Mains Electricity project for Syston Cricket Club and a Rainwater Harvesting and Guttering project for Kirby Muxloe.
Should additional funding become available in 2009, details will be published on the ECB Website at www.ecb.co.uk/funding
