26.08.08 ECB announces 1,000th Clubmark Club
The ECB today announced that Uppingham Town CC in Leicestershire is to be the 1,000th cricket club to receive the coveted ECB Clubmark five years after Elvaston CC from Derbyshire became the first.

All clubs and schools throughout the county are invited to enter their Under 13's and Under 15's girls teams in an 8-a-side Lady Taverners outdoor competition. This competition which is free to enter will be held on Saturday 7th June at Grace Road from 10am - 4pm. For application and contact details please see attached flyer.

To enter your local ASDA Kwik Cricket District Festival simply complete the attached form and return to Dips Patel, LRCB Office, Grace Road, Leicester, LE2 8AD or call 07966 555993 for any other queries. The winning team goes through to the Regional Finals which are being held at Leicestershire County Cricket Club on Friday 20th June 2008.

To assist in achieving this we are again operating an extensive coaching programme this winter, aimed specifically at those boys and girls aged between 11-15, with the ability to play at District Level, and 16 and 17 at County Level.
